Habitat for Humanity Poland support vulnerable families through innovative housing solutions as well as increasing public awareness of housing problems and advocating for the improvement of housing policy. Since February 2022, Habitat Poland have been responding to support refugees who have been forced to flee the violence in Ukraine.
Funds raised in Ireland are supporting Habitat Poland's work in communities across the country. In summer 2023, a team of volunteers from across Ireland will travel to Poland to support this life-changing work.
Volunteers will:

SERVE families and communities in need
SPEAK out for safe shelter

Itinerary
Habitat co-ordinates everything for a safe and rewarding experience. You don’t need special skills to take part.
Day 1-2 Depart Ireland, arrive in Poland & orientation
Day 3-8 Build and closing celebration with the community
Day 9-10 Cultural activity & depart
Dates dependent on flight availability.
Supporting Habitat's Work
The budget includes a non-refundable deposit, fights, in-country expenses and a minimum donation towards Habitat’s work. We ask everyone to personally contribute a minimum of £/€500 towards their logistics costs and to raise more than the minimum as every penny makes a huge difference to families in need. We have lots of ideas and resources to support fundraising.
Need to Know
Where will I stay?
Accommodation will be clean and safe; usually a modest hotel or guest house. Local Habitat staff will organise transport to and from the work site.
What will I eat?
You will have the opportunity to try local food but in most cases you will have access to food you will be familiar with too! Bottled water will be provided to keep you hydrated. Include allergies or specific requirements in your application form.
What age do I have to be to take part?
You must be 16 and over to join the team. If you are older than 75, get in touch to discuss insurance.
