Habitat for Humanity Ireland’s A Brush with Kindness Programme is a grassroots lead initiative that brought together charities with commonly held goals to build healthy, resilient communities.
In 2012, the economic climate meant that charities were being squeezed more than ever. As resources diminished, the need for the services they provided were at an all-time high.
The A Brush With Kindness programme partnered with like-minded organisations to renovate or refurbish housing facilities for vulnerable groups, such as the elderly.
The initiative enabled our partners to increase their capacity to deliver services while we worked towards our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Throughout the work the wider community engaged in the process and actively contributed their time, money and talent to support the project.
