Volunteer Stories: Mark

Mark came to volunteer in Habitat six months ago through our partnership with Stepping Stones NI. We asked him some questions about his time with us.

Why did you sign up to volunteer in the Habitat office?

I came through Stepping Stones, to get more experience in an office and meet new people.

What motivates you to keep coming back?

The people are really friendly here, I enjoy coming in each time.

What skills, qualities or experience do you bring to Habitat?

I've had some experience in doing this type of work before, so I'm quite good at it by now.

What's your favourite task in the office?

I enjoy inputting data, it's simple and once you get used to it, it's easy!

What have you learned at Habitat?

I've refreshed lots of skills I'd almost forgot I have!

What's been your Habitat highlight?

I'm more confident now than I was when I first started and I've seen myself getting quicker at my work. It's been great to get positive feedback!
