Kelvin Kalonga is the National Director of Habitat for Humanity Malawi. In his short reflection this Advent he talks about the Hope God's love brings us.

In October, volunteers from Northern Ireland travelled to Malawi to take part in Big Build 2018. Watch the short video here:

Families like Killian's, Felisitasi's and Flossy's now have safe places to call home, but there's so much more to do.

Read a short reflection from Kelvin Kalonga, National Director of Habitat Malawi:

Psalm 147:11- "The Lord delights in those who fear Him who put their hope in His unfailing love."

Living in a world which is full of injustice, poverty, disease and violence, it is easy to give up hope for a better future.  We are surrounded with a hostile environment where everything seems to be crumbling down.

The work that we are doing at times seems it is a drop in the ocean where the impact might not be seen as we would wish due to the situation of the communities that we are working in. It is only the love of God that will help us to continue working to bring hope to the lives of people we work with.

During this time of Advent, let us have hope in God that He will continue to do His work of transforming people’s lives through those of us who have made ourselves available to Him.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to be true ambassadors of your Kingdom as we serve the people you have entrusted us with. Help us to be good stewards of the resources that you provide through your humble servants so that together we can transform more lives as we show them your love and bring hope to them.
